The LISTEN TO BERLIN: AWARDS recognise outstanding achievements in Berlin’s music scene. The awards focus on people, artists and projects that have made a particularly important and lasting contribution to the development of Berlin’s music scene in the previous year. They are awarded independently of commercial considerations and reflect the diversity of Berlin’s players. At the same time, the award ceremony is a platform for networking and exchange between many business representatives, artists and representatives of the public sector.
The LISTEN TO BERLIN: AWARDS are part of Most Wanted: Music. Most Wanted: Music is the largest conference for the professional music and creative industries in Berlin and one of the most important B2B events for the industry in Germany. The events will take place in autumn 2021 as hybrid events.
Most Wanted: Music and LISTEN TO BERLIN: AWARDS are organised by the Berlin Music Commission, the network of the Berlin music industry.
We are looking for a freelance, i.e. independent, project and event manager or an agency to organise the LISTEN TO BERLIN: AWARDS 2024.
Your tasks:
- Project management for the LISTEN TO BERLIN: AWARDS 2024 event
- Time and task planning, creation of a project plan
- Resource planning for the event (pre-production)
- Budget planning and ongoing updating of the project budget
- Vendor research and bid comparisons
- Realisation and monitoring of the event production together with the production management and the technical trades
- Coordination with the Most Wanted: Music project management
- Coordination with the management of the Berlin Music Commission
- Scheduling of nomination and voting phases
- Preparation of the nomination and voting phases using an online voting tool
- Evaluation of the nomination and voting phases
- Collaboration in the selection of and communication with jury members
- Preparation, support and evaluation of the jury meeting
- Researching laudators and moderators
- Communication and content-related agreements with laudators and presenters, creation and realisation of briefings
- Invitation of nominees and VIP guests
- Coordinating the creation of graphics, video animations and inserts
- Content and operational coordination with the Most Wanted: Music communications team
- Supporting the marketing for the event (collection and, if necessary, preparation of e.g. artist and nominee bios, photos of the participants, etc.)
- Collaboration in the creation of mailings
- Assistance in updating and maintaining the website listen-to-berlin-awards.de
- Creation of a production plan for the award show
- Briefings and supervision of photography and video production (aftermovie) during the event
- Briefing and supervision of volunteers during the event
- Possible support for partner/sponsor activations during the event
- Ensuring that the award show runs smoothly and that all participants and guests are well looked after
- Evaluation/de-briefing
Your profile:
You have a great passion for creative events,
You have several years of proven professional experience in project and event management,
You are a team-orientated person with excellent communication skills,
You have a friendly and open demeanour, actively approach new people, enjoy listening to them and can anticipate their wishes and needs in conversation and respond to them empathetically and creatively,
You think and act in a results-orientated way and can react quickly to unforeseen changes,
You have high quality standards for the results of your work,
You have a DIY mentality and are not afraid to tackle things yourself,
You keep calm in a sometimes stressful event environment,
fixed deadlines don’t scare you, in fact they motivate you,
You are persistent and persistent and keep asking questions until you have received an appropriate response to your enquiries,
You speak and write fluent German
Would be a plus:
You know the structures and key players in Berlin’s music industry and even have some personal contacts,
You have some experience with hybrid event formats or TV productions,
