City Slang is an international independent record label which was founded in 1990 and acted as a headquarter for US indie rock stalwarts like Hole, Sebadoh and Yo La Tengo. Nearly 30 years later City Slang’s catalogue has grown to encompass a broad and colourful spectrum of artists of all styles, from all over the world. The back catalogue is rich with musical milestones from Tortoise, Notwist, Calexico, Lambchop & Tindersticks. But, the future is where it’s at with the thick soundscapes of Anna von Hauswollf, the future pop of Caribou, the dystopian future folk of Timber Timbre, the Algerian groove of Imarhan, the modernist beat tracks of Noga Erez and a whole load of other talents.
