Berlin @ SXSW 2009
The South By South West (SXSW) music festival and conference in Austin, Texas, is one of the most important in the world and next takes place from 18-22 March.
Thanks to the support of the European Union, 2009 will mark the first time that the city has a presence there. A delegation of 12 Berlin music companies will fly out to Austin and gather at a trade show stand representing the German capital. Furthermore, a networking event will take place. Thanks to the support of the Berlin Department for Cultural Affairs this event will feature live performances by new Berlin music talents.
