Berlin Music Commission

Die WOMEX – the world music expo – reist seit ihrer Gründung im Jahr 1994 durch Europa, produziert von einem kleinen Berliner Team. Bei der WOMEX 08 in Sevilla, Spanien, trafen sich mehr als 2.800 Fachteilnehmer aus über 90 Ländern, davon 650 Aussteller an 320 Ständen, zum Knüpfen und Pflegen internationaler Netzwerke und Geschäftskontakte.

Weitere wesentliche Veranstaltungs¬elemente sind das umfangreiche Konferenz-/Filmprogramm und das Showcase-Festival mit 49 World Top Acts und Newcomern.
Die nächste Ausgabe wird vom 28. Oktober bis 1. November 2009 in Kopenhagen, Dänemark stattfinden.
